Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support a regional imaging team across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality mammography services with a focus on patient care and safety.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications, 2+ years in hospital radiology and mammography, and strong commitment to privacy, safety, and education. Full-time shifts, competitive pay, PTO, and wellness programs are included.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-M and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography exams per orders and protocols with accurate patient identification.
  • Explain procedures and gather patient history to reduce anxiety.
  • Protect privacy and dignity; safely position patients and assist transfers.
  • Review images for quality and ensure first-time acceptance; optimize dose and technique.
  • Maintain infection control, perform QC, and document labeling in PACS/RIS.
  • Keep the mammography suite clean and stocked, apply shielding, and train new staff.
  • Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and address patient questions.
  • Maintain documentation and stay current with required education and certifications.
