Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Hollywood, FL facility in a PRN capacity. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography, ensure high-quality images, and comply with MQSA/ACR standards while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

The role includes training new technologists and supporting regulatory inspections. Ideal candidates hold ARRT(M), state license, BLS, and MQSA readiness within 30 days, with strong patient service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school in radiologic technology.
• ARRT(M) certification and state license required or pending.
• BLS certification and MQSA readiness within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following protocols.
• Position patients, operate mammography equipment safely and accurately.
• Verify patient identity and review clinical history before procedures.
• Maintain MQSA/ACR compliance and radiation safety standards.
• Assist with MQSA inspections, audits and regulatory tasks.
• Training of new technologists on site or remotely as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and infection control.
• Utilize EMR, Mammography RIS, PACS and DICOM for timely sharing.
