Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Hollywood, FL facility in a PRN capacity. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.

Requirements include ARRT(M) certification and state license (or eligible), BLS, MQSA/ACR compliance within 30 days, and strong patient-service skills. EMR/PACS/DICOM proficiency is expected; cross-training and education support are provided.

Qualifications

• MQSA standards knowledge and compliance orientation.
• ARRT(M) certification and a State license (or eligible) required, with certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS from AHA or ARC required; MQSA inspections and accreditation support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following established protocols.
• Position patients accurately and operate mammography equipment safely.
• Ensure high-quality images for radiologist interpretation and maintain image quality records.
• Maintain MQSA compliance, assist with inspections, audits, and documentation.
• Support timely image sharing via PACS/DICOM and EMR systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and participate in education programs.
