Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time, PRN role in Georgia. You will perform mammography exams, ensure image quality, and support patient care in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiologic technologist experience.
• Minimum 1 year mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain exams to patients and reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Protect privacy and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and first-time acceptance.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain infection control.
• Document QC tests and ensure accurate labeling in PACS/RIS.
• Provide clear pre/post-exam instructions and assist training.
