Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. You will follow physicians’ orders, protect patients with radiation safety, verify patient ID, operate the equipment, and prepare patients for imaging.

You will maintain QA logs, ensure high-quality images, educate patients about procedures, and stay current with MQSA and ACR standards while keeping the department compliant and safe.

Qualifications

• Connecticut State License and ARRT Certification with Mammography modality.
• Superior diagnostic imaging in accordance with standardized procedures.
• Excellent patient and people skills.
• Strong knowledge in human anatomy and cross-sectional anatomy; proper positioning.
• Maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images.
• Verify proper patient identification and route studies to PACS.
• Maintain a daily log of patients seen and QA documentation.
• Follow MQSA and ACR standards for safety and imaging quality.
• Educate patients about procedures and provide compassionate care.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety protocols.
