Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform mammography exams under physician direction, including screening and diagnostic studies. The successful candidate will schedule and prepare patients, maintain records, and support department operations while ensuring safety and quality in imaging services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Radiology registry is required.
• Mammography registry preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic exams on patients as ordered by physicians.
• Assist Radiologist with needle localizations and ensure records, consents, and supplies are available.
• Schedule patients for mammograms and follow-up exams as needed.
• Maintain departmental records for government compliance and adhere to MQSA policies.
• Enter exams in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS; send for outside films for comparisons.
• Maintain clean work area and assist in facility/equipment maintenance.
• Attend department meetings as required and perform other duties as directed by Diagnostic Imaging Director.
