Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiographer/Mammographer to perform comprehensive mammography and radiography duties, including screening, diagnostic work, and needle localization. The role requires ARRT registration, Massachusetts licensing, and strong interpersonal skills.

The position emphasizes accuracy in exposure factors, patient safety, and timely documentation in Epic. Training of students may be involved, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of formal Radiologic Technology training with at least one year of radiography experience and additional training in mammography.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of Mammography to include screening, diagnostic, needle localization and other related imaging.
• Operates imaging equipment and other devices as appropriate.
• Positions patients to obtain anatomic information.
• Calculates exposure factors correctly to reduce radiation exposure to patients.
• Pracitces radiation protection for both patients and personnel.
• Evaluates radiographs for technical quality and uses sound judgement to take additional radiographs to better demonstrate pathology.
• Completes Epic entries 98% of the time.
• Pursues continuing education through department and hospital programs.
