Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment, guide a team, and ensure high-quality imaging and patient care. The role includes supervising staff during day shifts, performing screenings and biopsies, and maintaining records.

Required ARRT certification in radiologic technology and mammography, MA license, and 3 years of related experience. Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related work experience required.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required.
• Graduate of approved School of Radiology; High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, positioning patients correctly for optimal image quality, and assisting with biopsies.
• Assigning tasks to other technologists, providing guidance and training to new staff, evaluating performance, and addressing issues within the department. Monitoring equipment functionality, QA checks, MQSA compliance, and identifying quality issues.
• Explaining procedures to patients, addressing concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, managing staff schedules, and reporting to the Mammography Supervisor.
