POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Under the general direction of the supervisor, the Mammography Technologist performs Screening and Diagnostic Mammography accurately, independently, and efficiently.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

• Provides advanced imaging and diagnostic services in North Seattle.
• Equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging technology. Our radiologists are board-certified with specialty training in various imaging fields.
• We prioritize explaining procedures to each patient to ensure they know what to expect.
• Offers routine radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform assigned exams and procedures independently following protocols.
• Produce acceptable radiographs, select proper technical factors, and review digital images for quality.
• Assist Radiologists with requested information and problem-solving.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and processes.
• Report quality issues to the supervisor.
• Help establish and update protocols.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of formal technology training in an AMA-approved school, registration by ARRT or equivalent.
• Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Registered by ARRT as a Mammography Technologist before completing probation.
