Overview

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, offers comprehensive in-office Mammography services. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and expert staff committed to high standards of care. Embedded within our network of affiliated OBGYN practices, we provide patients with a convenient, familiar in-office environment for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms.

We are seeking a Per Diem Float Mammography Technologist for our Mammography offices within affiliated practices in the Raleigh-Cary, NC Metropolitan area.

The Mammography Technologist will perform 3D digital mammography to assist in diagnosing diseases in the OBGYN office. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mammography, be able to work independently, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Ensuring a high level of quality and service delivery is essential.

Coverage across locations in the Raleigh-Cary, NC Metropolitan area is expected as needed.

Retention Bonus: Attain 120 hours of work to receive a $1,000 bonus.

Responsibilities

1. Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
2. Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
3. Maintain meticulous attention to detail during procedures.
4. Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
5. Interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
6. Complete all patient information and paperwork accurately.
7. Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks for exam interpretation.
8. Maintain medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
9. Deliver mammography results promptly, escalating when necessary.
10. Support compliance with MQSA and ACR requirements.
11. Maintain continuing education as mandated by MQSA.

Additional Job Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Maintain registry status and continuing education.
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
