CHS Career Site is seeking a Mammography Technologist I for PRN daytime coverage. The role focuses on screening and diagnostic mammography, collaborating with Radiologists to deliver high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Required: state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Radiography certification, and Mammography certification or eligibility within six months. Acute care experience preferred; strong safety and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in radiologic imaging.
• 2-4 years experience as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs mammography imaging procedures with proper positioning, technique, and compression.
• Adheres to safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Ensures equipment functionality and routine quality control testing per ACR and FDA/MQSA requirements.
• Reviews orders and patient history to verify procedures.
• Educates patients on breast health, self-exam techniques, and procedure expectations.
• Assists radiologists with specialized mammography procedures (FNA, localizations, biopsies).
• Prepares patients for invasive mammography-guided procedures and provides post-procedure guidance.
• Maintains accurate documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages mammography inventory and supplies.
