Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN mammography technologist to produce diagnostic mammographic images and manage radiation exposure in line with ACR and MQSA guidelines. You will prepare, document activities, verify patient identity, review history, and position patients to obtain high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

You will support infection control, maintain EMR/PACS/DICOM workflows, participate in QA tasks and training, and work with leadership on site or via remote command center as

Qualifications

• ARRT(M) and state license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with mammography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following established protocols.
• Position patients accurately and operate mammography equipment safely.
• Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and explain the procedure clearly.
• Maintain QA/QC tasks and documentation, ensure high-quality images.
• Train and orient new technologists as needed.
• Comply with MQSA, ACR, and HIPAA.
