Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. This PRN, as-needed role supports the Imaging department and requires ARRT and BLS credentials.

You will ensure accurate imaging, adhere to safety protocols, and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Rad Tech license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patients for exams with proper identification and verification.
• Performs radiologic mammography exams including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainages, etc.
• Demonstrates positioning competency.
• Operates mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort during procedures.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Documents all procedures and adverse reactions accurately.
