Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine mammography and bone densitometry under Radiologist supervision. You will ensure high-quality images and timely interpretation with proper comparison studies.

Qualifications include ARRT (R) registration, Virginia license, BLS, and at least 1 year of mammography experience; ARRT (M) is preferred. Cross-training and QA activities are part of the role, with educational supervision for students.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registration in Radiologic Technology is required; ARRT (M) is preferred.
• Virginia license is required for MIF facilities.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum one year of mammography experience; cross-training in MWHC/MIF is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and confirm orders; perform screening and diagnostic mammography and bone densitometry.
• Maintain competency in using EMR/Radiology systems and CAD for image digitization.
• Adhere to radiation safety and departmental protocols to ensure quality care.
• Supervise students and support the MWHC/MIF cross-training programs; participate in performance-improvement activities.
