Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine WCINYP Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography and stereotactic biopsy equipment, ensuring safe, accurate imaging and patient care. The role supports patient flow, imaging accuracy, and sterile, infection-controlled practices in a busy NYC environment.

With approximately 2 years of mammography experience, you will join a team focused on high-quality imaging and patient safety, while meeting NYS licensing and ARRT certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered technologist status in radiology or related field.
• Graduate of an approved radiography program.
• Completed or pursuing ARRT certification in radiography.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and reagents and orders as needed.
• Assists staff and new employees with equipment and department policies.
• Performs preventive maintenance and monitors service actions with outside contractors.
• Greet and triage patients, escort to exam rooms and prepare for procedures.
• Verify patient identity, history and requisition for each exam.
• Perform mammography and stereotactic scans per clinical requisition and explain procedures to patients.
