Job summary

CARIN Alliance is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support multiple imaging facilities within a regional team, delivering high-quality mammography services with a focus on patient care and safety.

The role involves performing exams, ensuring accurate labeling and high image quality, training new staff, and maintaining a clean, well-supplied mammography suite.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per orders and protocols with accurate patient ID and image quality.
• Gather patient history, explain procedures, and ensure privacy and comfort.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and maintain cleanliness per infection control standards.
• Review images for quality, label, document, and submit in PACS/RIS.
• Conduct quality control tests and support regulatory compliance (ACR, MQSA, FDA).
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and assist in emergencies or cross-functional imaging tasks.
• Support training of new staff and maintain a clean, stocked mammography suite.

• Gathering patient history, explaining procedures clearly, and maintaining patient privacy and comfort.
• Operating mammography equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to infection control standards.
• Reviewing images for quality, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and timely submission in PACS/RIS systems.
• Conducting quality control tests, maintaining records, and supporting regulatory compliance (ACR, MQSA, FDA).
• Providing pre- and post-exam instructions, addressing patient questions, and assisting in emergency situations or cross-functional imaging tasks.
• Supporting training of new staff and maintaining a clean, stocked mammography suite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
