Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You’ll deliver high-quality imaging while ensuring patient comfort and clear communication throughout the exam workflow.

The position requires ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, including mammography in a hospital setting. Join a collaborative team committed to patient care and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining a strong first-time acceptance rate before releasing patients.
• Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize dose and technique, and keep equipment clean and ready per infection control guidelines.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions, address questions or elevate to providers, and support training of new team members.
