Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will operate mammography equipment, educate patients, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the exam.

The role involves teamwork, adherence to quality standards, and collaboration across departments to support diagnostic services. Strong technical skills and ARRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist RT(R) in good standing with ARRT.
• ARRT Mammography certification (M).
• Current state licensure prior to employment.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training.

Responsibilities

• Review mammography requisition and exam forms to determine type of exam.
• Position patients, determine exposure factors, and operate mammography equipment per procedures.
• Review processed images for quality and need for additional images.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after the exam.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via CAD and PACS.
• Complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork.
• Report malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator.
• Process billing via RIS.
• Assist with policies and compliance with local, state and federal law and credentialing bodies.
