Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System’s Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center seeks a dedicated Mammography Technologist. You will perform mammography exams, position patients, ensure image quality, and educate patients throughout the process.

The role requires AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education, ARRT Mammography certification, active state licensure, and BLS. Training and patient-centered care are emphasized in a supportive imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT in good standing (R.T.(R)).
• Certification in Mammography: R.T.(R) (M) (ARRT).
• Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training.

Responsibilities

• Review mammography requisition and forms to determine exam type.
• Position patients, set exposure factors, and operate mammography equipment per procedures to obtain high-quality images.
• Review processed images for quality and need for additional images.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after the exam.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, print images via CAD and PACS; complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork.
