Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Mammography Technologist for full-time day shifts. The role performs screening and diagnostic mammography in the outpatient setting, ensuring patient comfort and high image quality.

The technologist aids in recalls, quality control, and collaborates with radiologists to communicate results and next steps. Requires 1+ year radiology experience and ARRT certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in radiology
• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions
• Knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality mammographic examinations and procedures per orders and protocols.
• Participates in recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required.
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation accurately and timely.
• Follows MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines including quality control testing.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team for timely results.
