Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Mammography Tech for full-time day shifts at the Outpatient Center. You will perform mammography radiographic exams, ensure patient safety, and manage data entry and image quality.

You will participate in QA for mammography equipment, assist with ACR accreditation renewals, and respond to emergencies within the department, while upholding our culture of compassion and accountability.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; graduate of an approved program of Mammography Technology.
• Licenses/Certifications: MRT license or temporary license; ARRT-R and ARRT-M registrations; BLS certification.
• Experience/Skills: ability to lift/move patients; uphold Memorial Hermann culture and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography radiographic exams with proper radiation safety and image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data and prepares patients for exams.
• Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment and supports accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions and accidents to management.
• Takes emergency calls within the department and ensures safe patient care.
• Promotes professional growth and compliance with continuing education requirements.
