Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography to perform high-quality breast imaging and patient care. You will coordinate recalls and additional imaging, document in EMR/PACS, and ensure strict adherence to MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines.

You will operate mammography equipment, prepare rooms, and assist during exams while maintaining patient comfort and safety. A valid radiologic tech license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required)
• BLS CPR certification and radiologic technology licensure/certifications
• State and national licenses required for radiologic technology
• ARRT radiology credential and mammography certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes.
• Assists with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling.
• Follows MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines and conducts QC checks.
• Operates mammography equipment and ensures image quality.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and ensures safety checks.
• Notifies staff when inventory is low and documents in EMR/PACS.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team; communicates results.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification

Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT)

ARRT Certification in Radiography

Mammography Certification (RT-M or equivalent)
