Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a role in Irvington, New York. The position is full-time and on-site with a 12-hour day shift in a weekday schedule, offering competitive compensation and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited radiography program.
• ARRT RT required.
• New York DOH licensure or limited permit required.
• Mammography certification preferred or required within 1 year of hire.
• Completion of 40 hours of mammography training including QA/QC and supervised exams.
• 24 ECE credits every 2 years; 15 Category 1 CEUs in mammography every 36 months.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Completion of Image Gently and Image Wisely radiation safety pledges.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography and general radiographic imaging procedures.
• Prepare and position patients according to exam protocols.
• Produce high-quality images and review exams for completeness and quality.
• Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures as needed.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform QA checks, and order supplies.
• Process images and prepare CDs when required.
• Communicate exam findings to radiologists and relay wet readings when applicable.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to imaging standards of care.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or instructor when assigned.
