Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient comfort. You will collaborate with Radiologists to adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining documentation and equipment quality.

The role requires 1-3 years of radiologic imaging experience, ARRT radiography certification, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
• ARRT Radiography Certification required
• (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography imaging procedures with high-quality results through proper positioning and compression.
• Adheres to safety, radiation protection, and infection control standards.
• Ensures equipment functionality and routine quality control per regulatory requirements.
• Reviews orders and patient history to ensure procedures are correctly ordered and documented.
• Educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations with professionalism.
• Assists radiologists with FNA, localizations, and biopsies while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepares patients for invasive mammography-guided procedures and provides post-procedure care guidance.
• Maintains accurate documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages inventory and supplies for daily mammography operations.
