Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography to perform screening and diagnostic exams according to physician orders, prepare patients, and ensure comfort and privacy.

You will operate equipment safely, assist radiologists during biopsies, document results in the EMR, follow MQSA/ACR regulations, maintain clean rooms, educate patients on breast health, and collaborate with providers for quality care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the required experience in routine diagnostics.
Registry with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology within 1 year is required.
Mammography certification (ARDMS/ARRT) within 1 year preferred.
BCLS – Basic Life Support required at hire.
Advanced registry is highly preferred and may be required for some modalities.
Comparable education/experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams per physician orders and protocols.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam process and obtaining medical history.
Position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring comfort and dignity.
Operate mammography equipment safely and ensure image quality and radiation safety.
Assist radiologists during breast biopsy procedures and localization.
Document patient information and exam details in the EMR.
Follow MQSA, ACR, state and federal regulations for mammography services.
