Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography across community settings. You will work with radiologists and staff to ensure safe, accurate imaging and compassionate patient care.

The role emphasizes patient education, documentation in EMR/PACS, and maintaining equipment to meet accreditation standards while supporting access to preventive breast cancer screening.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-M Mammography certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography examinations in accordance with protocols and quality standards.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout imaging.
• Obtain patient histories and verify orders and documentation.
• Maintain imaging equipment and QA standards to meet accreditation requirements.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and answer questions professionally.
• Document patient information and imaging data in EMR and PACS.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams for timely diagnosis and follow-up.
• Assist with imaging operations, equipment readiness, and site preparation.
• Support Valley Health initiatives to increase preventive care access.

Job description

The Mammography Technologist provides high-quality breast imaging services in support of Valley Health's commitment to improving access to preventive care throughout the region. This role performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while delivering exceptional patient care in a variety of community-based healthcare settings. The Mammography Technologist works collaboratively with radiologists, providers, and support staff to ensure safe, accurate, and compassionate care for patients across the communities served by Valley Health.
