Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography in Tempe, AZ. You will operate mammography equipment, assess image quality, and educate patients on breast health as part of a dedicated imaging team.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT Radiologic Technologist and Mammography licenses, and can manage records and equipment maintenance while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Requires registration as a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the ARRT.
• Requires current Radiology and Mammography license in the State.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography procedures.
• Develops and evaluates film for technical quality (density, contrast, definition).
• Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Prepares and maintains records and files; cleans and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
• Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requiresregistration as a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• Requires current Radiology and Mammography license in the State

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
