Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in San Francisco, CA seeks a Full-Time Radiologic and Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment, assess image quality, and educate patients on the importance of regular breast screening. The role includes record-keeping, equipment maintenance, and adherence to standard radiology practices.

Candidates must hold ARRT registration in radiology and mammography, and possess a current California radiology and mammography license.

Qualifications

• Requires registration as Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the ARRT.
• Requires current Radiology and Mammography license in the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
• Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality (density, contrast, definition).
• Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Prepares and maintains records and files; cleans and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Follows standard concepts, practices and procedures; uses experience to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks as assigned.

• Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
