Job Description

$7500 Sign-On Bonus

This position involves operating mammography equipment to obtain images according to physician and ACR specifications.

Position Purpose

• Position patients and adjust mammography equipment for each examination. Assist physicians during examinations and consultations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care through scientific inquiry, compassion, advocacy, education, and collaboration.
• Use critical thinking to resolve complex procedural situations and handle emergency high-stress scenarios during high-risk procedures.
• Assist in sterile procedures and perform clerical duties such as report filing, answering phones, relaying messages, and photocopying.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
• Licensure: Massachusetts Radiology license
• Certification: ARRT registration in Mammography within one year of hire
• Experience: Completion of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, 40 contact hours of mammography training, 25 supervised mammography examinations, and up to three months of on-the-job training.
