Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment and perform related procedures at our Daly City location. You will develop and evaluate film quality, explain the importance of regular screening, and maintain patient records and equipment.

Applicants must hold ARRT registration and current Radiology and Mammography licenses in the state. The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, a professional appearance, and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Registration in Radiologic and Mammography by the ARRT is required.
• Current Radiology and Mammography license in the State is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography equipment and performs mammography procedures.
• Develops and evaluates films for technical quality.
• Educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Prepares and maintains records and files; cleans and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Follows standard concepts, practices and procedures; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
• Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requiresregistration as a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• Requires current Radiology and Mammography license in the State

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
