Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code, demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance as a Radiologic Mammography Technologist. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.

Some Of Your Daily Activities Will Include
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician / providers practice under the supervision of radiologists, other licensed staff, and Management.
  • Help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
  • Perform thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning according to the order.
  • Assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations.
  • Relay instructions from the radiologist to your patient or authorized person.
  • Collect patient data, document patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the medical record for review and perform diagnostic medical imaging.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent failures.
  • May occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent, with 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
  • MRAD:CA; BLS-CPR
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, operation of radiology equipment, and radiation safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist preferred; six months outpatient experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic practice management systems, and PACS preferred.

Pay Range

$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
