Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join a dedicated team delivering quality care and access in imaging services. You will operate mammography equipment, produce high-quality images, and guide patients through procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include adjusting exposure settings, monitoring patients, responding to physician needs, safeguarding PHI, and upholding professional conduct with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification is required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and other devices per policy.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with excellent patient care.
• Use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot, AEC, and other adjustments to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or problems.
• Guide patients through the exam process and address questions or concerns.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information securely.
• Safeguard on-site medications and comply with regulations.
• Respect company property, including cash and patient portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Job Overview

When you join us as a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through the exam process by kindly explaining the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding procedures.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrate competency regarding the safeguard of patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Show the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
