RadNet, Inc. is seeking a Mammography Technologist in New Jersey to join our radiology team.

The role focuses on producing high-quality mammographic images while maintaining exceptional patient care and safety standards in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification, state licensure for Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS certification, with preferred experience in diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment in accordance with company policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Adjust compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC and related settings to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Guide patients through the exam process by explaining steps and addressing questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient information and any on-site medications in accordance with policy and law.
• Maintain professional behavior and respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, their families and staff to support quality care.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $42.00 - $55.00 per hour
