Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a Mammography Technologist in New Jersey. You will operate mammographic equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout exams.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT certification, state licensure in radiologic technology, and BLS certification, with at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or preferred.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and other devices per policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with excellent patient care.
• Set and adjust compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot, AEC and related controls to achieve high-quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ease anxiety during exams.
• Respond to physician questions and coordinate patient care as needed.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• Must have BLS certification
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
