Job summary

Hmixray in New Jersey is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join a patient-centered radiology team. You will operate mammographic equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure comfort and safety throughout exams.

You must hold ARRT(R)(M) certification, a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and a current BLS certification. At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred, with strong patient communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly with excellent patient care.
• Understand compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid, AEC, and related settings.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and act on issues.
• Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions.
• Respond to physician questions about patients.
• Safeguard patient and site property, including PHI.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
