Job summary

ACHE in Vermont Barre requires a Radiologic Technologist with ARRTAdvanced Mammography certification, and AMA program graduate status. You will perform all mammographic breast imaging procedures under clinical direction and lead cross-training efforts for staff.

The role requires ongoing certification maintenance and a flexible cross-training stance to support other radiology modalities as staffing needs change.

Qualifications

• ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification is required.
• Graduate of AMA Council of Medical Education Program for Radiologic Technology.
• Must be licensed or license eligible in Vermont.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs all mammographic breast imaging procedures under supervision.
• Assist in cross-training staff and instruct them in complex procedures.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

At the administrative direction of the Director and the Operations Supervisor and the clinical direction of the Radiologist / Team Leader, independently performs all types of mammographic breast imaging procedures. Assists in the technical orientation of cross-training staff and to instruct them in complex or difficult procedures. Acquires and maintains certification relevant to mammography per facility and FDA/MQSA requirements. Position requires the flexibility to cross train in other Radiology modalities based upon departmental staffing needs.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Employees who are cross-trained in more than one DI modality are responsible for all aspects of the job descriptions in each separate modality. Competencies in each modality must be kept at adequate levels of performance for each area, and necessary documentation, including certification renewals, must take place on a yearly basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Two years of additional education beyond High School
• Graduate of an AMA Council of Medical Education Program for Radiologic Technology
• ARRT Advanced mammography Certification Required

Must currently be licensed or license eligible in the State of Vermont
