Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist focused on mammography in Burlington, VT. You will perform routine and diagnostic mammography, maintain quality control, and ensure FDA and ACR compliance.

Requirements include ARRT certification, Vermont state license or eligibility, graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, and at least one year of experience. Training and mentoring duties may be required, with potential weekend or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
• ARRT certified and Licensed or License eligible with the State of Vermont.
• Has at least 1 year experience as a Radiology technologist and has successfully completed all Radiology competencies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography area.
• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams with strong emphasis on quality control.
• Assist in training other personnel and students as needed.
• Perform weekly quality control on mammography machines as required by FDA and ACR.
• May need to perform other radiographic procedures under supervision.
• Pass a mammography competency and pursue ARRT boards within one year.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Job description

• Demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography area.
• Must have enough credits in digital mammography to perform exams on all equipment and be proficient in routine and diagnostic mammography exams.
• Perform weekly quality control on the mammography machines as required by the FDA and ACR.
• May need to perform other radiographic procedures according to established practices and under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor and Chief Technologist.
• Pass a mammography competency before performing mammography exams and take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of starting in mammography.
• Assist in training other personnel and students as needed.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and on call duties as assigned.
