Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist Trainee in Los Angeles, CA to join our radiology team. You will undergo comprehensive mammography training and hands-on clinical exposure to prepare for the ARRT mammography registry, with reimbursement for training courses.

Successful candidates will obtain ARRT(R) certification, pursue licensing, and transition to a full-time mammography technologist role upon certification.

Qualifications

• Current state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Interest and ability to learn advanced radiology procedures like Tomosynthesis.
• Compassionate, adaptable, and able to reassure patients during exams.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 40-hour Mammography Training Course with 8 hours in digital mammography (Radnet reimburses).
• Complete 8 hours of Tomosynthesis training (Radnet reimburses).
• Receive hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam.
• Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
• Participate in projects and meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Safeguards any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
