Job summary

RadNet, based in Pikesville, Maryland, is seeking a passionate Mammography Technologist to join their team. This role involves comprehensive training and hands-on experience in mammography procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care. You will complete a 40-hour training course and pass the Mammography Licensing Exam to become a certified technologist.

Additional responsibilities include participating in team meetings and safeguarding patient information. RadNet offers competitive pay of $32.00 - $35.00 per hour along with benefits such as comprehensive medical and dental coverage and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Be provided hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam.
• Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
• Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Safeguards any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

Role

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
• Are resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience.
• Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on-the-fly should an emergent situation arise.
