Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a Radiology Mammography Tech to join our breast imaging team in Winter Park, FL. You will perform high-quality mammography exams, follow MQSA/ACR guidelines, and ensure patient safety and comfort through clear explanations of procedures.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, an associate degree, and active mammography credentials. You will collaborate with radiologists to provide timely results and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA/ACR regulations.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and recalls; coordinates imaging and biopsy scheduling.
• Supports breast center initiatives and accreditation prep.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification and time-out procedures.
• Maintains EMR/PACS documentation and ensures high-quality examinations.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and equipment is safety-checked.
• Operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images.
• Communicates results and next steps with radiologists.
