Qualifications

  • Graduated from a JRCERT program.
  • Minimum of one year mammography experience.
  • Maintain ARRT Mammography certification.
  • Hold Texas Medical Board licensure in good standing.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care activities within scope of practice, including POCT, IV insertion, patient assessment, medication administration, and patient transport.
  • Ensure safety for patients, families, staff, and visitors through imaging clearance screening and implanted device evaluations.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines including ALARA and Image Gently principles and provide appropriate shielding.
  • Recognize patient distress and assist with emergency response as needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support patient care needs through varied schedules and call coverage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of rooms, equipment, and supplies.

  • Perform patient care activities within scope of practice, including POCT, IV insertion, patient assessment, medication administration, and patient transport
  • Ensure safety for patients, families, staff, and visitors through imaging clearance screening and implanted device evaluations
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines including ALARA and Image Gently principles and provide appropriate shielding
  • Recognize patient distress and assist with emergency response team activation when needed
  • Adhere to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and contrast administration protocols using the six rights of medication administration
  • Apply age-specific care criteria and notify radiologists of critical findings
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support patient care needs through varied schedules, call coverage, and emergency ride‑out responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of rooms, equipment, and work areas while managing supplies and waste disposal
