University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Mammographer to support high-quality breast imaging services within the Breast Imaging Department. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, compassionate patient care, and strong technical skills to aid in breast cancer detection and diagnosis.

The ideal candidate will have a JRCERT-accredited program graduation, at least one year of mammography experience, and ARRT Mammography certification, with Texas Medical Board licensure and BLS in

Qualifications

• Graduated from a JRCERT program.
• Minimum of one year mammography experience.
• Maintain ARRT Mammography certification.
• Hold Texas Medical Board licensure in good standing.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities within scope of practice, including POCT, IV insertion, patient assessment, medication administration, and patient transport.
• Ensure safety for patients, families, staff, and visitors through imaging clearance screening and implanted device evaluations.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines including ALARA and Image Gently principles and provide appropriate shielding.
• Recognize patient distress and assist with emergency response as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility to support patient care needs through varied schedules and call coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of rooms, equipment, and supplies.
