Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment, assess patients, and document findings in HIS/RIS/PACS. The role requires ARRT registration in diagnostic radiology and mammography, Massachusetts mammography licensure, and a BLS certification before completing the 90-day probation.

Qualifications

• Registration in Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography by the ARRT.
• Licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a mammography technologist.
• BLS healthcare provider before start of 90-day probation.
• Level of knowledge equivalent to an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Prior field experience preferred; equivalent education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operates Mammography Equipment and performs exams with adjustments for patient size/condition.
• Records breast history and notes any discomfort or medical concerns.
• Adheres to departmental policies and safety, documents in HIS/RIS/PACS and PEN RAD.
• Assists in other areas/modalities as needed.
• Cleans and maintains all equipment and workspace.
