Job summary

Baystate Health, located in Northampton, MA, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Mammography to operate mammography equipment and support radiology services. You will perform imaging studies, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 200 mammograms to meet FDA requirements (Mammo Tech).
• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Sciences Program or equivalent. Associates Degree in Radiological Sciences.
• Meets min ARRT mammo credits requirements for certification every 3 years and 12 total annually.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper identification of all patients according to established policy and procedure.
• Operates radiology, mammography information systems and related equipment.
• Performs imaging studies and prepares films for interpretation.
• Acts as liaison with hospital personnel to ensure timely coordinated services and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Assists radiologist in sterile procedures including stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Performs quality control and participates in department QA activities.
• Maintains stock room inventory and supports clerical duties as needed.
