Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with attention to safety and patient care. The role requires ARRT registration, ongoing CE, and willingness to complete mammography training post-hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registered in radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with documented Continuing Education to maintain registration/certification.
• Possess the willingness to complete Mammography training upon hire.
• Must pass Mammography registry exam within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certified or obtained within 30 days of hire
• One or more years of experience in the field of Radiology

Description

Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic patient examinations with mammography equipment according to established procedures. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of Mammographic technology. Maintains work area in an efficient organized state, following all safety and confidentiality guidelines. Maintains high professional standard of conduct and patient care, while exemplifying and promoting Augusta Health values.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology
