Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a prestigious private practice in Manhattan, NYC.

You will perform 3D digital mammography, support MQSA and ACR standards, and collaborate with radiologists and the breast imaging team to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. The role requires ARRT registration, mammography certification, an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences, and at least two years of mammography experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent.
• ARRT Registration required; Mammography certification required.
• State license required where applicable.
• Minimum two years of mammography experience.

Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist performs 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office. Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mammograms and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Maintain registry status and continuing education.
• Minimum two years of mammography experience
