Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks a Mammographer to perform specialized radiographic imaging under the direction of the Radiology Services Director. You will participate in direct patient care, support facility quality and safety initiatives, and assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires state licensure and ARRT certification with advanced Mammography certification, plus BCLS.

Qualifications

Overview

• Department: Radiology
• Schedule: Per Diem (As Needed)
• Facility: St Mary's of Nazareth
• Location: 2233 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.2. Current ARRT certification.

3. Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.

4. Current experience as a radiology technologist.

5. Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

6. Current BCLS (AHA) certification.

7. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.

8. Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.

9. Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
