Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks a Director of Radiology Services to provide leadership, supervision, and coordination of the Radiology department, ensuring safety for patients and staff.

You will direct all HR functions of the department, oversee training and staff competencies, manage the budget, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor departmental indicators and PI activities, and perform radiology technician duties when needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in radiologic technology from AMA-accredited program.
• AMA-accredited radiologic technology program completion.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Specialized CT or MRI training preferred.

Responsibilities

The Director of Radiology Services provides leadership, supervision and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff. Directs all human resource functions of the department with include; overseeing training and ensures staff competencies, ensures safe staffing levels. Develops and manages budget to meet department, organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. The Director ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed. The Director responds to the needs of the department by performing radiology technician duties when needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Associates Degree; graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology. Bachelors

Degree preferred.

• Specialized training in CT or MRI Preferred.


• Supervisory experience in all medical imaging functions.


• Previous experience as a radiology technologist/Nuclear Medicine/Other modalities.


• Strong verbal and written skills.


• Current ARRT (R) and IEMA certification.


• Current Basic Life Support /BCLS (AHA) certification


• Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $111,155.20 to $160,992 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
