Department of State Health Services in Arlington, TX seeks a Health Physicist I - Mammography Inspector to perform state-wide inspections of mammography systems in accordance with MQSA and state regulations.

You will review QC/QA records, prepare inspection reports, and coordinate with FDA and other agencies while adhering to licensing and credentialing requirements. The role requires travel up to 85% and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Formación

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of health physics and radiation control.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning radiation control and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct state-wide inspections of mammography systems and records to evaluate compliance with regulations.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports and submit to FDA data collection center and DSHS.
• Assist and train MQSA inspectors and participate in disaster response duties.
