Job summary

WellStar is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist with Mammography expertise. You will obtain clinical history, ensure patient safety, and perform imaging with quality control to support accurate diagnoses in a fast-paced radiology department.

Requires ARRT Mammography and Radiography certifications, BLS/ARC-BLS, and a minimum of 1 year in radiography and mammography. Excellent communication and patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Mammography and ARRT Radiography certifications required.
• BLS and related certifications (ARC-BLS, BLS-Instructor) required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiography and Mammography; preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Obtain clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Ensure proper patient identification and marker use.
• Review images and release patients.
• Respond to emergencies; use critical thinking.
• Assist other technologists in all modalities.
• Maintain patient privacy and comfort.
• Organize schedule and priorities to meet time frames.
• Follow RBAC when taking verbal orders.
